The Verified Trainee program has been a success.  It has grown to over 250 VT’s in the system.  There is a good percentage of VT’s that move up to a USA Pickleball Credentialed referee within a year of membership.  The Referee Training Coordinators are a bit overwhelmed keeping track of all these VT’s plus all the other referees in their area.  The local trainers are seeing some VT’s stay connected but some leave the program.

USA Pickleball is putting a 1 year duration on all Verified Trainees.  From the date of membership in the program VT’s have one year to move to a credentialed referee or they will need to reapply for VT status.  Once they reapply they will need to respond to the verification email sent to them by USAP to start another year of the program.
