USA Pickleball, the National Governing Body for pickleball in the United States, has taken a significant step to enhance athlete safety by becoming a SafeSport® trained organization. This training is a testament to USA Pickleball’s dedication to fostering a secure and respectful environment for all participants.
The U.S. Center for SafeSport, established in 2017, is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization tasked with preventing and responding to emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. Through comprehensive education and resources, SafeSport trains athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, and organizations at all levels on best practices and principles for preventing abuse in sport settings. In doing so, the Center advances its mission of making athlete well-being the center of our nation’s sports culture through abuse prevention, education, and accountability.
By adopting SafeSport training, USA Pickleball ensures that its employees are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to uphold the highest standards of athlete welfare at all USA Pickleball tournaments and events. About the U.S. Center for SafeSport
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit organization responsible for receiving, investigating, and responding to reports of emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct and abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. The Center also serves as an educational resource for sports organizations at all levels, from recreational to professional leagues.
*USA Pickleball is not a member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement therefore members are not covered under the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s policies and jurisdiction.
