Registration Policies

​What does it mean to be confirmed as registered?

•  for players in a singles amateur division, it means you have registered and paid the tournament fees
• for players in a doubles amateur event, it means both players have registered and both players have paid the tournament fees and are paired up. Players can add their partners through the website.

Please note that you or your team could be moved to the tournament waitlist, if your partner (for doubles competition) has not registered and paid. The contract to play is between players and it is their responsibility to comply with the tournament requirements to participate as stated above – this is a player responsibility

Playing in amateur events

• players may only play in one division per day.
• brackets will be filled on a first come basis as daily capacity allows.
• players – PLEASE register in the appropriate SKILL level and based on registrations, we will divide into age brackets following along the USA Pickleball brackets. IF you request to play in a different age bracket than your team’s age, please contact us to let us know – text 312-645-5429 or email PlayerRegistration@theAPP.global
• As a waitlist develops, the APP will be managing bracket sizes to accommodate demand. This means that bracket maximums may be adjusted from registration opening to the day of play.

Partner Replacement Policy

Skill Player Partner Replacement Policy

Q.) What do you do if your partner cannot now play?

• Any registered player who loses a partner, after registrations have closed, must replace that partner with an already registered player. This responsibility rests with the players.
• The replacement player has to be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play in. Players can play down in age and up in skill, replacements need to be known and communicated to the registration coordinator via email by
• 4pm the day before you are scheduled to play. That email is playerregistration@theapp.global.
• Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list

Payment of Skill Partner Replacement Players

• If the cancellation deadline hasn’t passed, the player withdrawing from the event would be refunded, less $25 withdrawal fee.
• The player entering the event would need to pay any tournament fees.
• If the registration deadline has passed, then the player withdrawing would not be refunded the player entry fee.
• All players must pay the player entry fee; the division fee would have to be reimbursed by the replacement player.
• Please note that no refunds or credits for any reason will be issued for any reason after the cancellation deadline, as stated above, unless the Registration & Weather Insurance Policy has been purchased. The APP’s advice is to purchase this insurance.

Withdrawal, Refund and Weather Policy

Registration/Weather Insurance Policy

• If you withdraw before the cancellation/registration deadline, you will be issued a full refund, less the cancellation/registration fee of $50, without the need to purchase the Registration/Weather Insurance.
• During registration, you may choose to purchase the Registration/Weather Insurance Policy ($25) in the event that you have to withdraw from a bracket or the entire tournament after the cancellation/registration deadline, as stated above. Please see the policy for specific coverage details.

Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy

If you withdraw before the registration closes, you will be issued a full refund, less the withdrawal fee of $50.00. If you withdraw from the tournament AFTER registration closes, you will only be able to receive a refund IF you have purchased the Registration/Weather insurance.
